Objectives are to enable course members to:
- Understand the intention of the Health & Safety at Work Act and how it applies to their employment
- Identify other legislation and regulations applying to their employment
- Understand their roles and responsibilities regarding Health and Safety
- Understand how to deal with accidents and breakdowns in control measures
- Understand and follow the correct procedures in case of emergency
- Understand the need for Health & Safety documentation and to make and use records
